Tonsilitis

Definition :

  •  inflammation (swelling) of tonsils  

Causes: 

  • viral infection
  • bacterial infection

Symptoms

  • Trouble swallowing
  • Red swollen tonsils
  • Fever
  • Bad breath

Treatment

  • Getting a lot of rest
  • Drinking plenty of fluids
  • Doing gargles with salt water
  • Sucking on lozenges
